Benefits
BBL HEROic sets the benchmark for treating the appearance of aging and enhancing skin clarity. The key benefits include effectively treating age spots, sun damage, redness, small facial vessels, rosacea, and active acne. Its automated pulsing technology allows providers to perform full-body treatments like backs, arms, and legs in mere minutes. Advanced CoolComfort™ technology keeps your skin cool and comfortable throughout the procedure.
How does it work?
BBL (BroadBand Light) HEROic is the next generation of Sciton’s revolutionary pulsed-light technology. It features proprietary Intelligent Control (IC) and Skin Positioning System™ (SPS™) technology.
What this means for you is that the device tracks the handpiece’s position in real-time, automatically adjusting the light pulses to perfectly align with the contours of your body. This advanced light energy targets the specific pigment or vessels causing your skin concerns, gently heating the upper layers of your skin to stimulate cells to generate new collagen and clear away imperfections.
Prep & Aftercare
Most patients do not require a topical anesthetic because the device utilizes a built-in cooling sapphire crystal that keeps the skin’s surface perfectly chilled and safe while the light energy goes to work.
Your provider at Ocean Aesthetics will give you tailored post-care instructions. In general, it is highly important to protect your treated skin from the sun using broad-spectrum sunscreen, as the skin will be more sensitive to UV rays following treatment.
Downtime
Minimal downtime. BBL HEROic treatments are known for their efficiency and ease. Because the treatment is non-invasive and non-ablative, most patients can return to their daily routines, including applying makeup, immediately after their session. You may experience some mild redness, similar to a light sunburn, but this typically resolves quickly.
Frequency
BBL HEROic delivers impressive results, often showing noticeable improvements in skin smoothness and luminosity after just a single session. However, depending on your specific skin concerns (such as deep pigmentation, vascular issues, or active acne), your provider may recommend a short series of treatments to achieve optimal, long-lasting results.
